We are currently seeking a Client Service Executive to join our team in Sydney.
The Client Service Executive (CSE) is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end service for all customers within the Business Unit. The CSE will support the operations and Business Unit Manager to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Key Activities/Responsibilities
- Support the Business Unit Manager in meeting and exceeding customer service.
- Dispute resolution relating to service.
- First escalation point for operations with service issues.
- Communicate customer expectations and changes in a timely manner.
- Liaise with, and take instructions from our customers to co-ordinate their orders/shipments by the advised dates listed on the orders.
- Input of orders into EDI/ Cargowise and the essential follow-up of the orders with GEODIS, Freight Forwarding overseas offices, subsidiaries and agents thereof.
- Report changes in freighting requirements to GEODIS Freight Forwarding overseas offices.
- Liaise with shipping lines, overseas GFF offices and agents, freight forwarders, carriers, current clients and prospective clients.
- Proactively communicate any issues (i.e. deviations, delays e.t.c.) to the clients within a timely manner, including corrective action.
- Procurement & rate maintenance (Cost and Sell) in conjunction with Sales.
- Timely and regular review of suppliers and rates.
- Scheduled visits and service calls to allocated clients where appropriate.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding or 3 years customer service required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience using CargoWise essential.
