Job description

1. Accurately code clinical information using the clinic's custom-developed software system, essential for managing business transactions.
2. Abstract and analyses patient medical records within a clinical setting to ensure data integrity and readiness for the new system.'
3. Enter and manage clinical data in both manual and electronic records, aligning with the requirements of the upcoming web application.
4. Uphold stringent record-keeping practices in accordance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards, particularly during the migration to the new system.
5. Navigate and aid in the refinement of the clinic's proprietary coding system, set to be integral to the new web application.
6. Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information, complying with privacy laws during the development and migration process.
7. Support patient care administration by accurately documenting medication and care details, key for the smooth data transition to the new platform.
8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to verify the accuracy of documentation and coding, crucial for the transition to the web application.
9. Engage in ongoing education to keep up-to-date with the new system's features and the clinical coding field's changes.
10. Demonstrate flexibility to work varying hours and at different sites in response to the ongoing software development and system migration needs.
11. Participate actively in the clinic's web application development, offering clinical operation insights to improve system functionality.
12. Embrace additional responsibilities as necessary to facilitate the clinic's move to an advanced web-based information system.
Main tasks:
The primary task for a Clinical Coder / Health Administrator centers around the meticulous coding of clinical information via our specialized software system. Which is fundamental to our operational and business processes. A detailed understanding of our business workflow is paramount, as it ensures that the transition to our upcoming web application will be seamless and efficient.
The Clinical Coder is tasked with carefully abstracting and analyzing patient medical records to guarantee data integrity, a process that paves the way for a smooth system migration. The role also demands a steadfast commitment to patient confidentiality and the security of information, a responsibility that takes on added significance during the development and transition phases. This is complemented by the task of documenting patient care with precision, thus facilitating the data's integration into the new platform without disrupting patient services.
