The position is a casual position, working varied working hours. Your hours will depend on our specialist’s schedules, so flexibility is a must.
Reporting directly to the Office Manager, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and efficient individual who relishes in a fast pace environment. You will be responsible for helping maintain our commitment to quality health care and customer service and dealing with patients, visitors and other health professionals. You will be required to prioritise, multi task and use initiative. You will need to be team a player and to be able to work under pressure.
To be successful, you will have the following:
- Eye experience, although this would be well regarded, it is not essential, as full training in our specialty will be provided.
- High standard of presentation, punctuality and positive attitude towards work.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Good organisation and time-management skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm to use various medical equipment & instruments.
- Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 and the ability to provide evidence of vaccination prior to employment.
- Orthoptists, Optometrists and nurses are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting & working up patients & undertaking their clinical tests on various ocular diagnostic equipment.
- Assisting our doctors with minor procedures/injections (in room).
- Assisting other team members as required.
- General administrative duties relating to patient care
