We are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Training Superintendent that wants to build a lucrative career in the mining industry and oversee the HST requirements of our western based operation – Airly Mine.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, your responsibilities include
- Manage the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing development of the Mines Safety Management System
- Oversee training programs in compliance with the Coal Services Order 34 Training and Competence Management Scheme
- Review recorded safety observations and inspections, promoting the Health and Safety message across the site
- Direct site Risk Management process, managing risk assessment work as required
- Liaise with Mine Manager and the HST Coordinator to provide expert advice and proactive management of health, safety, and Training initiatives

Suitable candidates will have
- Diploma level or higher - Work Health Safety qualification
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Demonstrated recent experience working in Risk Management in an underground environment
- Underground operational experience and experience operating mobile mining equipment
- Previous experience managing controlled documents
- Strong computer literacy and MS Office skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Commitment to site Safety and mine operational practices
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Robust ability to persuade and influence others to adhere to rules and instructions
- Statutory qualifications and experience using Pulse OHS may be advantageous
