What you will be doing:?
An opportunity has become available for qualified Clinical Coordinator to join the Nepean Pharmacy team. The Nepean Pharmacy department provides a comprehensive pharmacy service to patients during their admission to hospital and for those attending outpatient clinics. The dedicated pharmacy team work collaboratively to provide medications in a safe and timely manner with a focus on patient-centred care. As part of the Nepean Hospital Redevelopment strategy, the pharmacy team is preparing to move to their new premises. This brand-new location has increased capacity to accommodate the growing team, and upgraded facilities will assist in further enhancement of Pharmacy services provision for the Nepean Hospital campus. In this role you will be:
- Responsible directly to Director of Pharmacy for the provision of pharmacy services to Nepean Hospital including provision of the afterhours pharmacy service
- Responsible for the pharmacists ,pharmacy intern , pharmacy technicians and assistants and other support staff
- In addition to the specific duties of a Pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients of the hospital and affiliated institutions, the Senior Inpatient Pharmacist has additional responsibilities in supervision and operational management
- Perform or supervise those tasks of drug distribution necessary to ensure the safe and accurate distribution of medication. Perform patient service, clinical and educational activities in his/her designated area(s) as outlined in the departmental Policy and Procedures Manual. Conduct oneself in a courteous, helpful and professional manner reflecting the hospital philosophy and mission regarding service

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection Criteria to be Addressed: * Full registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia with no restrictions on scope of practice
- Relevant clinical pharmacy experience and self motivation to further develop and improve skills relevant to current practice
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and also ability to work independently
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication
- Good problem solving skills
