This regional health service forms part of the largest country health service in Australia. This health service provides hospital, aged care, community and public health and mental health services to an area of 507,896 sq km.
The Mental Health and Drug Service is a multi-faceted community-based service that provides t mental health and alcohol and other drugs services. The service is divided into three community outreach teams, with in-reach as a Consultation Liaison (CL) service to the region's hospitals.
The Job
- As Clinical Director of Psychiatry, you will provide clinical leadership to the service; participate in recruitment, and evaluate training and development requirements of the service
- You will work in partnership with the Regional Manager of Mental Health to plan, develop, implement and evaluate area-wide strategic initiatives
- As a key member of the regional team, you will provide clinical services where required and supervise Registrars in training and other medical officers
- You will provide line management for medical staff and work with budget holders to ensure the appropriate allocation of staff to sites and services
