The Lorn Surgery in Maitland is a rich multi-disciplinary general practice.
To serve the growing needs of the Maitland community, we are seeking a General, Developmental or Behavioural Paediatrician to take on the role of Community PaediatricsClinical Lead within our service.
Essential Criteria
- FRACP
- An interest in teaching and clinical supervision
- Experience as a Fellowship Training Supervisor and/or Examiner
Desirable Criteria
- Experience supervising overseas trained paediatricians who have been assessed by the RACP as substantially comparable to Australian trained paediatricians
Full-time and part-time applicants are welcome.
You will join a general paediatrician with a special interest in developmental paediatrics, child & adolescent psychologists, paediatric speech and occupational therapists and GPs with special interests in paediatric neurodiversity and mental health.
The role involves:
- 28.5h/week of billable clinical work
- Provision of clinical supervision to overseas trained paediatricians assessed by the RACP as substantially comparable and GPs with a special interest in child health
- Assisting the Practice Principal with recruitment and selection of paediatric staff
Maitland is semi-rural with a population of 80,000. It is 35 minutes from Newcastle's CBD and beaches, 30min from the Hunter Valley Wineries and 15min from the end of the M1 (Pacific Motorway).
