About the Education and Virtual Health Services team
The Education and Virtual Health Services team promotes the health and wellbeing of expectant and new parents with infants and young children, through the provision of first-class, evidence based antenatal and early parenting education, guidance and support. We deliver integrated programs with multiple touch points over an extended period (12+ months). Our programs are designed to support the prevention and early intervention of identified physical and mental health risks to parents and babies. We help parents feel more prepared, confident and less anxious about their pregnancy, birth and early parenting journey.
Position: Clinical Lead
As the Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the VP of Education and Virtual Health Services, leading our dynamic Virtual Health Services team. Your responsibilities include championing strategic initiatives that contribute to the growth of our Virtual Health service offering.
Role Details:
- Permanent part-time position (15 hours per week)
- Flexibility in working hours.
- Melbourne-based preferred for hybrid working.
- Interstate/remote candidates considered (some travel to Melbourne required)
- Support the strategic direction of the organisation’s Virtual Health Services.
- Provide mentorship and support to the Virtual Health team including:
+ assessing professional development needs/opportunities
+ providing reflective practice sessions
+ participating in the performance review process
- Contribute to the development and management of clinical processes.
- Contribute to clinical risk analysis and quality improvement.
- Contribute to the company’s accreditation processes.
- Pursue and disseminate the latest research findings and best practice, in child and maternal health.
- Provide Virtual Health Services when and where necessary to assist with the resourcing of the Virtual Health service.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as either a Registered Nurse or Midwife.
- Graduate/diploma, or equivalent, in child and family health nursing or early parenting support.
- Knowledge of relevant client/patient data and information systems and demonstrated computer skills.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Minimum 5 years experience working in an early parenting education and support role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi task.
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
- Ability to display empathy, warmth and understanding to all families.
