A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Leader in Aged Care to join a dynamic team at a residential Aged Care facility located in Maitland. Utilise your clinical experience and people skills in an engaging leadership position.
ROLE DETAILS
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with staff, residents, and families with the support of the Clinical Care Manager and Site Operations Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of dementia care in alignment with the organisational Dementia Excellence approach and palliative care;
- In collaboration with the manager, maintaining contact with families through scheduled annual conferences for each resident, or more frequently if required. Handling family concerns and recognising any important issues that families must be informed of;
- Overseeing clinical incidents and other care-related reporting, evaluating and ensuring appropriate responses and that clinical improvement opportunities are implemented;
- Ensuring clinical and care staff are working within their scope of practice and delegation framework.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience at a senior clinical care level;
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification, including a current AHPRA registration;
- A genuine passion for providing individualised clinical care to support ageing in place;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, residents, and their families;
- Sound understanding and experience in meeting Aged Care Standards and Outcomes.

FACILITY DETAILS
The residential Aged Care facility in Maitland, situated in regional South Australia about 2 hours' drive west from Adelaide, comprises 60 individual rooms. The facility provides permanent and respite care, features a memory support unit for residents with dementia, and offers specialised palliative care. Residents benefit from a comprehensive allied health service, with visiting professionals such as speech pathologists, dentists, podiatrists, audiologists, optometrists, and massage therapists.
