Position Summary
Clinical Midwifery Educator

• Permanent Part Time (3 days per week)
• Eastern Health Maternity Services - based at Angliss Hospital
• Make a difference to the learning experiences of students and staff at Eastern Health
• Support capability building for the maternity workforce

About the role
Learning and Teaching is part of the newly formed Eastern Health Institute, where we join Research and Ethics, Medical Education and the Library Services. The Clinical Midwifery Educator role is pivotal in providing leadership related to clinical change and development, education and support of learners and staff within Eastern Health. About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife and Nurse
• Post Graduate qualifications in Nursing, Midwifery and/or Education (or working towards)
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience
• Experience supervising and mentoring novice clinicians
• Demonstrated ability to deliver education and training
• Broad knowledge of professional issues in Midwifery and Nursing
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
