How you will make an impact
The Clinical Midwifery Educator is a registered midwife who is responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of educational and clinical initiatives. Cabrini education programs supports the growth and maintenance of the future nursing and midwifery workforce through coordination of the nursing and midwifery student, graduate, and specialty post-graduate programs.

The role is responsible for teaching the theory and practice programs and supporting postgraduate students. The Clinical Midwifery Educator supports high stakes assessments and delivers workshops relevant to the area of expertise.

The Clinical Midwifery Educator collaborates with managers, team leaders and other key stakeholders to increase participation in education and learning translation of research into action and reflective practice. The role fosters a culture of commitment to learning and teaching within Cabrini's Maternity Services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering, administering and assessing Cabrini's Midwifery education courses
• Ensuring the provision of educational resources reflects current evidence-based practice in accordance with Cabrini guidelines, protocols and policies
• Moderating, updating and evaluating eLearning activities
• Maintaining collaborative working relationships with the Clinical Support Nurse/s to deliver and assess curriculum

About you
In addition to your passion for delivering exceptional nursing education, you will also have the following:

ESSENTIAL
Educational/Vocational

• Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery
• Postgraduate qualification in clinical education or equivalent (or working toward)

Registration

• Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife with NMBA

Experience

• Recent experience in an education role
• eLearning technologies and/or learning management systems
• Delivery and assessment of formal curriculum
• Facilitation of simulation
• Ability to engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders

Knowledge

• Sound knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and evidence based practice related to area of expertise
• Principles of teaching and learning
