Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking a Casual Clinical Nurse to join the team in BreastScreen sitting in Women's and Children's Service Group.

About your opportunity

The purpose of the Clinical Nurse is to provide clinical expertise, support and education to clients attending the BreastScreen service.
Generous casual rates of $66.97– $71.71 (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1) and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
- Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Highly Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the position or working towards a relevant qualification.
- Adult Life Support Certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per Townsville Hospital and Health Service policy Life Support Training and Assessment.
- Ongoing professional development relevant to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of nursing staff within BreastScreen.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
- Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within the Rural Hospitals Service Group network and other Hospital and Health Services
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
