The role:
- Actively participate in, and contribute to, the organisation’s Quality and Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training, ensuring that quality and safety improvement processes are in place and acted upon.
- Provide clinical advice, leadership, support and direction in the development and implementation of systems supporting effective quality care through the management of consumer feedback, risk management, measurements of performance and outcomes, appropriate benchmarking, mentoring and advice on clinical practice issues.
- Work with the regional services, and relevant clinical and managerial staff in the Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) to facilitate the planning of a proactive, integrated, and innovative approach to patient/client safety, clinical risk management and quality improvement.
- Coordinate and facilitate the use of the safety event monitoring program, including coordinating investigations, providing feedback and advice, and assisting with implementing and evaluating risk action plans.

- The Child Health and Parenting Service provides primary Child and Family Health Nursing services to Tasmanian families with children under 5, from over 70 sites statewide.
- The area of Primary Healthcare presents unique challenges for traditional quality and safety systems, creating the opportunity to innovate and contribute to a growing field of best practice evidence.
- This position is ideally situated to contribute significantly to the systems and culture of the organisation, and enhance services delivered to Tasmanian families.
Details of Appointment
Multiple Permanent, full time and part time, day worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Location: Statewide
Your primary work location may be located in the Southern, Northern or North Western Region.
Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Registration

- Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications
- Current Driver’s Licence
