This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team, providing support and quality management at Richmond Lodge based in Casino.
The role will report to the Facility Manager. You need to be willing to educate and mentor, have high level clinical skills and a thorough working knowledge of aged care quality standards, systems, processes and clinical indicators.
Some of your duties will include:
- Conduct audits and monitor clinical indicators across multiple sites
- Assist the roll out of education programs and help upskill Registered Nurses
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Be involved in case conferencing and care plan development
- Ensure clinical practices across the region are in line with current legislative and professional standards
- Assist in preparing sites for accreditation
- Provide reports to the Facility Manager
In fulfilling the role, it is essential that you have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Recent nursing skills and knowledge
- Experience in Aged Care (preferred)
- Qualifications in Gerontology or similar (preferred)
- Solution driven by nature with a constant focus on continuous improvement
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Knowledge of the ACQSC standards.
- Experience in ACQSC accreditation (highly desired)
