Remuneration: $128,030 per annum - $130,582 per annum + super and annual leave loading
Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park

We take a values-based leadership approach putting our people at the centre of everything we do, striving to deliver our mission of Excellence in Care through our CORE Values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC), Complex Care and Frequent User Program, is an expert practitioner in mental health, drug and alcohol and/or chronic and Complex Care, responsible for implementing and evaluating a range of clinical interventions that provide alternative ways for patients to safely self-manage their health needs without frequently using NSW Ambulance.Advanced leadership in supporting the Manager in the development, expansion and evaluation of the Complex Care and Frequent User Program will be an integral part of the CNC role. ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and attributes:
  • Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice from the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and current NSW Driver’s Licence.
  • Minimum seven years full time post graduate experience with 5 years full time equivalent in the specialty field and post graduate qualification relevant to the specialty or evidence of working towards same.
  • Demonstrated high level clinical expertise, critical thinking, and advanced clinical reasoning in the provision of person-centred, evidence based and trauma informed Care and case management for vulnerable patients with Complex Care needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership in strategic and clinical service planning and in supporting organisational and cultural change.
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in clinical and organisational risk management, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives, including delivery of education.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing demands and an ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as a member of the Complex Care and Frequent User multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in building strong partnerships with multiple internal and external stakeholders who often have competing interests; excellent written skills with the ability to prepare reports, policies, and formal correspondence and competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages with a willingness to train in additional software platforms utilised by Ambulance NSW.
