An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to work as part of the Northern Sydney Local Health District Older People's Mental Health Services (OPMHS) Executive team to provide expert consultancy and leadership across NSLHD OPMHS and the wider Mental Health and Drug Alcohol (MHDA) organisation.

MHDA Statement of Intention
The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.
The Older People's Mental Health Services (OPMHS) Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade (CNC) is a senior nursing position based within the speciality of OPMHS in NSLHD that provides consultancy and leadership across the District working with clinical partners to ensure adherence of OPMHS clinical practice to State NSW Models of Care and evidenced based practice, provide senior level mentorship and supervision to colleagues, represent the service at both District and State level committees and provide expert clinical input into the review of adverse clinical events and outcomes.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered with Authority to Practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Minimum seven years full time post graduate experience with 5 years full time equivalent in the specialty field. In addition the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification and/or Masters level relevant to the specialty or evidence of working towards same in identified area of specialty.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
- Experience in undertaking research and/or clinical practice improvement in OPMHS clinical services including assisting the organisation in preparation for the accreditation cycle.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
