About the Role
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing/midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position
- Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills in relation to initiating, managing and monitoring patient safety systems to provide staff with effective and timely access to the information necessary to comply with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills and expert clinical judgement to initiate safety and quality improvement activities, utilising best practice principles, to effect positive patient outcomes.
