The Role:
Your typical day will involve:
- Assisting in minor gynaecological procedures
- Pre-operative and post-operative coordination of care
- Liaising with patients regarding cancer treatment
- Wound care
- Treatment room responsibilities
- Maintaining recall system
To be successful you will need to demonstrate:
- Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 12 months previous nursing experience in similar role women’s health/gynaecological (oncology experience highly desirable)
- Experience with Genie software / computer literate
- Previous experience practice nursing
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Professional aptitude, self-presentation and reliability
- Booking and managing patient appointments / managing electronic records
- Exceptional communication skills and telephone manner
- Excellent customer service
- High attention to detail
- Prioritisation skills and the ability to multitask
- The ability to work effectively autonomously
- An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional attitude, conduct and presentation
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- The ability to engage professionally with patients and other stakeholders
- Police clearance
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
