An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a dynamic team at The Mental Health Mental Intensive Care Unit. The Hornsby Mental Health Intensive Care Unit (MHICU) is a 12 bed specialist resource available within the NSLD MHDA which is reserved to provide Psychiatric Intensive Care to consumer identified as presenting with high degree of acute clinical risk, diagnostic and management complexity or acute symptomology of a mental illness/disorder. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience. Current Mental Health, drug and alcohol clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
