Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Liaison

This is for a Permanent or Fixed Term Full Time appointment, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency 

An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health Liaison to join the Mental Health Team at Geraldton Health Campus – Midwest.   

To be successful, you will have...

• Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience of Mental Health disorders and provision of evidence-based treatment in acute and community settings.
• Significant experience in crisis intervention and the prioritising, and management of psychiatric and nonpsychiatric emergencies in complex situations.
• Knowledge and skills in the implementation of the WA Mental Health Act and legislation affecting clinical practice.

Position Profile:

Establish and maintain high quality standards of patient care by leadership, delivery of care and role modelling in accordance with policies and procedures. Act as a clinical resource to staff across the hospital. Provide expert clinical assessment, screening, follow-up and care as required.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).
