Are you an experienced nursing or midwifery professional looking to take the next step in your career? Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is seeking a dedicated TPPP Clinical Nurse/Midwife Facilitator to provide expert support and guidance to our healthcare staff. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of clinical practice, promote evidence-based care, and mentor less experienced staff.

Position Overview: As the TPPP Clinical Nurse/Midwife Facilitator at EFNLHN, you will utilise your extensive clinical experience and further study to enhance nursing and midwifery services across a variety of health service settings. You will transition from a competent practitioner to a proficient leader, providing hands-on support to staff, including graduate nurses/midwives, through face-to-face, on-ground, and/or virtual interactions. Your role will focus on promoting reflective practice, evidence-based improvements, and problem-solving within your assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area. This will include monitoring patient/client care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis.
  • Mentorship and Support: Provide mentoring and guidance to staff at all levels, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to best practice standards.
  • Clinical Education Management: Collaborate with Nurse Educators, Nurse Unit Managers, and Nurse Managers to manage clinical education portfolios and support educational services.
  • Portfolio Management: Take responsibility for specific portfolios aligned with career development plans, negotiated through performance reviews and development plans.
  • Accountability: Accept accountability for your own practice standards, delegated activities, and the development of less experienced staff members.

You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
