• Remuneration: $123,044 - $138,636 + 17% Super and leave loading

About NCCRED:

The National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED) is a national research centre that seeks to embed research in clinical practice. It aims to support clinicians to detect and respond to new drug health problems by building clinical research capacity and rapidly translating findings into clinical practice. The Centre supports is undertaking a national, multi-centre, randomised controlled trial. This study is funded by the NHMRC and will deliver an innovative trial for the treatment of methamphetamine withdrawal.

The Centre is made up of a consortium of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC), acting as lead agency, St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA), National Drug Research Institute (NDRI) – Curtin University of Technology, and the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) – Flinders University.

Why Your Role Matters:

As a Clinical Project Manager, you will manage a multi-centre randomised controlled clinical trial at NCCRED in the Faculty of Medicine. In this position, you will actively develop and implement practices and procedures to support the trial. You will be accountable for the design of study collateral, the implementation of the study across a minimum of six sites nationally, and the oversight of trial activity to achieve targets on time and within budget.

The role reports to the Deputy Director NCCRED, supporting NCCRED at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC), and has no direct reports.

Who You Are:

• Relevant Degree with substantial experience and a range of management experience relative to clinical trials or public healthcare
• Experience in delivering clinical trials on behalf of both the sponsor and site, either in industry-sponsored or investigator-initiated studies
• Demonstrated project management experience, executing projects from implementation through reporting
• Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including REDCap, excel, and a statistical software program (such as SPSS or STATA)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
• Proven ability to influence senior management and stakeholders as appropriate to ensure successful outcomes.
• Sound influencing and consultation skills and proven ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands
