What you will be doing
The End of Lifeand Palliative Care Project Officer (the Project Officer) will provide input into a number of strategic change management projects that will improve access to and the delivery of end of Life and Palliative Care to patients in NSW. The Project Officer will work collaboratively across ACI Directorates and Clinical Networks, NSW pillar organisations, LHD/SHN managers, clinicians and consumers in the innovation of new programs, projects, policies and models of care. The position will undertake the full role of project management activities including project planning, stakeholder negotiation, milestone reporting and implementation of various end of Life and Palliative Care initiatives including the integration of virtual care in clinical practice.

Position Classification: Health Manager Level 3
Remuneration: $122,850 - $139,559 per annum (pro rata) excluding Superannuation

Selection Criteria / Questions
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or substantial project management experience leading the sustainable design, implementation and evaluation of initiatives in a large and complex health environment.
- Demonstrated communication and analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports and deal with challenges creatively to achieve business focused solutions.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills including successful clinical engagement and collaboration across all organisational levels to achieve strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of virtual care technologies in the clinical setting.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
