Overview
Please note that this position is multi-classified as either a AHP-1 or AHP-2.
You will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidence-based, recovery-oriented psychology services across the multidisciplinary Limestone Coast Local Health Network Mental Health Service. To achieve this, you will provide integrated clinical mental health care to consumers across community, acute and rehabilitation service settings. You will conduct formal psychological assessments of eligible consumers using psychometric tests and other specialist assessment measures.
Utilising a combination of psychological assessments and interventions/therapies, you will ensure that the psychology services provided are appropriate to the needs of the consumer and the local community. This may include the application of a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, using videoconferencing and other technologies as needed. You will work to develop and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team and members of the local health services.
It is expected that you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the Psychology mental health profession, including graduates and students.
You will need to hold a recognised qualification within the Psychology profession and be eligible for registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Skilled in providing a broad range of clinical and consultative services across a range of service settings, including one-on-one, group based and health promotion activities, you will be capable of managing and prioritising your personal workload. You will be committed to treating all consumers with respect, being responsive to their needs, and acting on opportunities to improve the quality of customer service in your operational area.
