Project Manager

• Greenfield role, to stand up the business related aspects of a research centre due to a new grant in the Sustainability domain
• Implement process for the operating model, finances, internal communications and change, project governance, reporting to meet grant requirements, etc
• Putting in place the templates and frameworks to make the process repeatable, so every time the University wins a new grant and needs to stand up a research centre, there is a defined way of working

• Experienced Project Manager who has been involved in standing up an environment from scratch (think new business set ups, creation of new internal business units, etc)
• A strong generalist, covering all areas of Project Management including operating model, project governance, finances, stakeholder management, etc
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills. Historically, the faculties have done this type of work themselves, so the Project Manager needs to be able to work well with academics and research staff
• Experience building new templates / frameworks for repeatable processes, enabling the University to have a defined way of working when it comes to standing up research centres and managing grants

• This role is Melbourne based, hyrbid WFH model and requires Australian PR or Citizenship.
• This role is an initial 12 month fixed term contract with potential of extension.
• Total package for this role is $164k including super.
