The Australian Institute for Human Wellness is dedicated to helping improve the lives of individuals and communities.
We are seeking a Clinical psychologist and a clinical psychology registrar to join our team of eight clinicians. We are looking for enthusiastic and confident individuals who are passionate about providing evidence-based psychological therapy.
This sub-contracting role would suit someone looking for part time work. Flexible working hours and days are available.
Supervision for registrar program provided.
We provide five newly renovated consulting rooms and a group therapy room in the heart of St George health services, abundant referrals, supervision, administration support, internet and telephone access, practice management software, and marketing services.
There are also opportunities to be involved in consulting projects, seminars, and running group therapy programs.
Selection Criteria:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist and endorsement as a Clinical psychologist
- Demonstrated skills in and a commitment to providing a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions including CBT
- Demonstrated experience in providing psychological services to children, adolescents and/or adults
- Able to function autonomously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Professional indemnity insurance
Desirable:
- Endorsement as a Clinical psychologist
- Willing to work with children and adolescents
- Trained in and willing to conduct neuropsychological assessments
- Willing to run group therapy programs, particularly DBT groups
- Trained in and able to provide DBT, ACT, EMDR and/or Schema Therapy
