Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and energetic Clinical Research Coordinator who possess a passion for person centred care to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Mental Health Service.
The Clinical Research Coordinator will provide coordination and leadership in the design, development, conduct, analysis and reporting of clinical research projects within the St Vincent’s Mental Health Service.
The Coordinator will support clinicians in the development and implementation of new clinical research projects. They will ensure the safe and ethical conduct and implementation of clinical trials and research studies as per the HREC/SSA requirements, hospital standard operating procedures and research protocols in collaboration with the lead investigators on each study / trial.
The Coordinator will also prepare grant proposals, reports, and participate in preparing and submitting articles for publication. They will also be responsible for ensuring reporting deadlines are met, preparing grant applications, and collaboratively producing high quality research reports and manuscripts.

Selection Criteria

2. Tertiary level education to at least Masters Level in a health-related field.
3. Demonstrated understanding of complex mental health clients and clinical settings.
4. Demonstrated experience in research and evaluation processes and knowledge of NHMRC guidelines and statements.
5. Demonstrated high-level written communication skills, including publications, reports and grants.
6. Proven excellent oral and written communication, demonstrating an ability to consult, influence and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
7. Demonstrated organisations and time management skills, and the ability to adhere to deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Proven strategic, analytical and problems solving skills.
