Relationships Australia WA is a leading provider of relationship support services to the West Australian community with professional and highly motivated staff.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our Family Mental Health Support Service, called 4families. This early intervention program provides counselling and case management support to children/young people at risk of developing mental illness and their families.
About the role
The Clinical Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services while providing guidance and support to a team of dedicated practitioners. This permanent part-time role entails online and face to face support in various locations, including Kwinana, Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton, Bridgetown as well as Albany.
The incumbent can be based in Kwinana or Bunbury and the role requires travelling between the different locations.
Access to a reliable vehicle is required.
All travel expenses (mileage, flights, accommodation) will be covered.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision to a team of Child and Family Practitioners across various locations in-person and online, ensuring adherence to best practices, ethical guidelines, and program protocols.
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support practitioners in their case conceptualization, case management and professional development.
- Monitor client progress and clinical outcomes, providing feedback and guidance to practitioners as needed.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager and Managers to develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Participate in program planning, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of supervision sessions and clinical records in accordance with regulatory requirements and program standards.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
Applicants should possess -
- a relevant degree (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counselling).
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with children and families, with at least 1 year of experience providing clinical supervision.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in early intervention mental health support and familiarity with a case management approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in mental health care.
