Clinical Support Specialist

You will be working for Biomedic Plus, a new independent sales agent with a very distinct portfolio in the Medical Device Industry. Our main Customer develops and manufactures high-quality orthopaedic titanium implants for orthopaedic and plastic surgeries.
 

Due to the continued growth being experienced in and around the Mid North Coast area, we are now seeking applications from candidates interested in joining Biomedic Plus as a Clinical Support Specialist on a part time basis. As a Clinical Support Specialist you will help support case coverage in the hospital operating theatre environment. After gaining the required experience and knowledge as a Clinical Support Specialist, you will work autonomously in your allocated territory.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Providing Clinical Support for procedures when required in your territory.
• Building relationships with our key surgeons and other theatre staff.
• Conducting regular hospital in-services and delivering training to operating room staff, hospital technicians, CSD personnel.
• Maintaining and monitoring monthly in-service records on your accounts to ensure records are current.
• Participating in after-hours / weekend cases or product support, if required, to assist the hospital staff.  

To be successful we think you’ll need:

• Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Bachelor of Nursing, or similar).
• Direct experience working in an operating theatre environment (preferred). 
• Preferably 2+ years’ experience in Trauma, Sports Medicine, Orthopaedic or similar, or experienced Scrub Nurses, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Exercise Physiologists, Podiatrists or Paramedics looking to make a transition into the medical device industry.
• Ability to think strategically and constructively to challenge customers thinking.
• Excellent communication, time management and prioritisation skills.
• Current driver’s licence (essential).
