Clinical Trials Coordinator
We are seeking an experiencedClinical Trials Coordinator to join our Clinical Trials Unit at St George Private Hospital
About the Role
The Day Infusion and Oncology Unit provides inpatient and day patient services. The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is linked to the Day Infusion unit and is supported by a committed and professional team of staff.
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Trials co-ordinator to work with a Clinical Trials team in performing a range of activities for the coordination of Phase I, II and III Clinical Trials. This includes, but not limited to, patient management, data management, trial organisation, administrative, and operational activities.
You will be joining a team of passionate professionals driven to provide safe, holistic nursing care to each individual patient to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
About You
You will have the ability to collaborate with all institutional staff to develop a constructive team orientated environment which provides a positive experience to study sponsors and to ensure high quality and continuity of care to study participants. You will bring a high level of planning and organisation skills, including the ability to work under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Your will also demonstrate:
- Applicant is a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration OR have a relevant tertiary qualification in medical, health, science and/or research.
- Experience in Clinical Trials coordination including study participant assessment/management and database operation/entry.
- Understanding of medical and Clinical Trials methodology, including ICH-GCP guidelines and the role of regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team across all aspects of Clinical Trial activities.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with study participants as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proven focus on the quality of work produced.
- Knowledge of guidelines in preparation of ethics/governance submissions, including safety reporting.
- Excellent administrative skills and computer literacy, i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook.
Preferable criteria:
- Experience in venepuncture and trial participant’s sample processing
- Oncology Experience
