About your new role
The Cloud Engineer is a newly created role that will join the IT Project Delivery group for the business. Being a greenfields project, this is a rare opportunity to create a legacy for this position and set the business up for future success through the delivery of a fit for purpose cloud solution and associated framework.
Some of the primary tasks aligned to this role include:
- Providing a cloud connectivity service that is reliable and secure.
- Ensure seamless integration between Azure and the existing Microsoft ecosystem.
- Will bring sound technical skills with networking, infrastructure, operating systems including the ability to provide L3 support / troubleshooting.
- Form strong working relationships with Programme / Project Managers, Architects, BA’s and external service providers.
- Oversee Operational risk registers for the technology and cyber functions which covers both IT & OT.
- Develop & conduct Test plans including performance reporting.
About You
The successful candidate for this position will fit the following profile:
- Is an experienced Cloud Engineer, where you have an expert knowledge of Azure and associated Microsoft products.
- Highly experienced with cloud security / cyber concepts such as endpoint security controls, email / web security, firewalls, network detection, threat & vulnerability management.
- Has experience working within the critical infrastructure or energy sector and is familiar with the SOCI act.
- Brings ‘hands on’ experience with compliance initiatives (ISO27001, ISO27002, ISO31000).
- Will have exposure to OT environments in addition to IT.
