Cloud Security Specialist

We're looking for a cloud technology expert who has adequate knowledge and experience within the cloud-tech space to join our team as the Cloud Security Specialist.
This is a vital role as the position will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures, implementing policies and standards across the various cloud platforms. The role will also collaborate across the Groups and have tight linkages with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to identify and mitigate cloud-specific security risks whilst staying current with emerging threats and industry best practices.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on Cloud Security and architecture.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, the major cloud providers and their associated security challenges.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Good knowledge of modern security concepts such as common attack vectors (MITRE ATT&ACK framework), malware, security analytics, threat intelligence and trends.
• Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to drive outcomes and create alignment on a vision of security operations.
• Able to communicate technical ideas and strategies effectively to non-technical audiences, including executive leadership, via multiple mediums (e.g., written communications, verbal communications, presentations, etc.).
• Builds effective relationships with third party providers, suppliers, and partners.
• Able to work independently and prioritise work to manage conflicting deadlines.
• Advanced degrees and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS, Azure) are highly desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
