The RoleA once in a lifetime opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering the highest level of fitness and operational programming to Higher State - Melbourne Airport as we open and expand into the area. This is an exciting time for Higher State - Melbourne Airport as we look to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Club General Manager to build and lead a passionate, professional and highly engaged team.As the
Club Manager will oversee the daily operations of our facility, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to create a positive and motivating atmosphere for both staff and members. The
Club Manager will also be qualified personal trainer to conduct 1 on 1 Personal Training as well as Small Group Training. You will also perform health consultations & designing personalised programmes.
Your key responsibilities include:- Achieving sales targets
- Manage and motivate a Personal Training and Wellness team
- Work within the annual business plan and achieve budgets
- Implement an annual sales and marketing planner
- Create business opportunities with the local corporate market
- Provide an exceptional product to deliver to our members
- Minimum Certificate IV in Fitness
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Experience in Personal Training and Group Fitness
- A passion for health and fitness and changing people’s lives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
- Has initiative, excellent attention to detail, and a can-do attitude
You must:- Have a desire to create a fun & vibrant culture within the club
- Have club management experience (essential)
- Be results driven
- Have experience managing staff and budgets
- Have a passion for health and fitness
- have previous successful Sales Experience
The VenueThe Higher State is located within the Novotel & ibis styles Melbourne Airport, a new dual-branded, 464-room hotel opening on 1 July 2024.The Novotel Melbourne Airport with 248 rooms, and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport with 216 rooms, will be located just steps away from Terminal 4, Melbourne Airport.
