Club Manager/Secretary

Searson Buck is recruiting a club manager and secretary for a prestigious Hobart organisation. Reporting to the Club's Vice-President, this position has flexibility for full time or part time hours and holds overall responsibility for the efficient day-to-day operation of the club.
Tasks & Responsibilities
The fundamental responsibility of the Club Manager and Secretary is providing high levels of service to members and enhancing the benefits of membership of the club. This includes receiving and reconciling any concerns raised by members, initiating and managing events and functions to maximise member participation and grow the membership base.
Another primary responsibility is the management of staff. You would be responsible for providing guidance to team members promoting cohesive team operations, facilitating staff training, ensuring high standards of service are maintained, perpetuate job satisfaction and retention, and handling employee relations matters.
You would also be responsible for the management of the club's administration and facilities. This includes managing the current membership database and website, preparing and distributing newspapers, reports, correspondence, marketing resources and committee meeting minutes. Furthermore, you would coordinate the maintenance of buildings, fittings and fixtures.
Your final key responsibility would be oversight of club governance and financials. This includes ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations, managing workplace health and safety measures, maintaining ethical operation standards and acting as the club's privacy officer. Reviewing financial statements, being actively involved in preparing budgets and projection forecasting, and guiding financial positions.
