About the Role
In this dynamic position, you will collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to fuel innovation through collaboration. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for setting up CNC machines, operating machines and ensuring quality and accuracy in machining processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate multiple Mazak CNC lathes/Intergrex machines, and communicate effectively with Production Supervisors.
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety in the CNC Manufacturing Department, ensuring work is completed within budget and timeframes.
- Collaborate with design engineers on projects to ensure drawings are suitable for manufacturing.
- Assist in improving processes and achieving continuous efficiency improvements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions in consultation with supervision.
- Coordinate repairs and regular maintenance of plant and equipment, and promote a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in production processes and CNC programming.
- Mechanical Trade Certificate III Engineering or similar
- 5 years post trade experience in CNC machining
- Mazatrol programming experience highly desirable.
