We are looking for a safety focused and motivatedMachinist and Mechanical Fitters to join our team. You will assist with day-to-day operations to ensure targets are met.

To be successful in the roll you need:  Machinist, and Fitters

• Able to complete precision type work as per trade requirements.
• Jobbing type work experience
• Ability to operate Manual and CNC lathes, CNC Borers and Milling machines
• Consistently complete work in a timely manner
• Accurately fill out job documentation as per QA requirements
• Demonstrate personal responsibility in ensuring all safety, quality, and environmental practices and standards are effectively maintained at all times
• Demonstrate Integrity through consistent values and behaviors
• Effectively interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and machining requirements
• Australian recognized Trade Certificate

To be successful in the roll you need: Mechanical:

• Assembling and disassembling of all Mining materials, gearboxes, Crushing Equipment, Rollers etc   
• Operating a Forklift, overhead crane driving, handling material and equipment.
• Delivering Strip and Assess Reports on Equipment for Quoting
• Identifying improvements and completing relevant documentation.
• To help train apprentices by demonstrating correct work procedures
• Will be responsible for the housekeeping and cleanliness of your designated workplace and workshop in general to 5S Standard.

CNC Machinist:

Programming Skills:

• Proficiency in CNC programming languages and software to create and modify machining programs.

Machine Operation:

• Ability to set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines, ensuring precision and efficiency in the machining process.

Blueprint Reading:

• Strong interpretation skills to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Quality Control:

• Attention to detail to conduct quality checks and inspections of machined parts to meet specified tolerances.

Problem Solving:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC machining processes, tooling, or equipment.

Knowledge of Materials:

• Understanding the properties of different materials used in mining equipment and selecting appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters.

Safety Awareness:

• Adherence to safety protocols and practices to ensure a secure working environment.

Manual Machinist:

Manual Machining Techniques:

• Proficient in operating manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.

Tool Selection and Setup:

• Ability to select appropriate cutting tools, set up machines, and make adjustments for precision machining.

Measurement Skills:

• Skill in using various precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts.

Material Handling:

• Knowledge of handling and manipulating raw materials and finished parts efficiently and safely.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

• Identifying and resolving issues related to machining processes and equipment.

Adaptability:

• Flexibility to work with various materials, tolerances, and specifications according to project requirements.

Blueprint Interpretation:

• Reading and understanding engineering drawings and blueprints for accurate machining.

Collaboration:

• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectively.
