CNC / Manual Machinist

Our Mackay branch currently has vacancy for a CNC / Manual Machinist who will be directly involved in workshop and onsite repairs, diagnostics and servicing of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication equipment catering for general industry and mining equipment.

Skills and Experience:

• Trade certificate in Fitting/Machining or Similar
• Experience in hydraulic cylinder repairs
• Experience in manual machining and welding (MIG, TIG & ARC)
• Able to read hydraulic schematics.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft word and Email / Outlook)
• Display a high standard of work quality.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and perform safe work practices.
• Ability to create, read and interpret workshop drawings and sketches of required repairs.
• Ability to work with a variety of materials.
• Ability to complete reports and job related paperwork.
• Available to work overtime as required.
• C & C Machining Experience or interest to learn.

Duties Include:

• Hydraulic component part machining
• Rebuild piston, vane and gear pumps/motors.
• Rebuild mobile and industrial valves.
• Rebuild cylinders.
• Build and commission power units.
