About The Role
We are seeking an experienced, certificate qualified, 1st Class Machinist with 5+ years post trade experience to join our busy general jobbing machine shop based in Hemmant. Broad industry experience is essential as we carry out precision general machining for the fabrication and repair of process plant and equipment across all types of industry.
Ideally the successful applicant will be a self-starter with a strong mechanical aptitude and an ability to conduct complex and challenging manual machining of components for fabrication and repairs. The applicant will also be a strong communicator with an ability to service both internal/external clients and highly competent and efficient in using manual Lathes, Mills and other workshop equipment.
If you have a strong work ethic, can contribute and hold your own within a team environment and equally important, you can demonstrate good consistent decision making with the ability to progress jobs unsupervised, then this is the role for you.
This is a casual position with the opportunity of fulltime after completing a probationary period.
