About the role:
We are looking for an experienced CNC operator (Router) to work as part of our production team in Brisbane. You will play a key role in producing custom orders and helping our Product Design team to bring ideas to life. Ideally, we would like to find someone with CNC, and CAD experience who can take our playground panel designs from concept to manufacture.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, or cutting.
- Load raw materials into CNC machines and ensure proper machine settings.
- Ability to use CAD software to bring designs from the concept stage to ready for manufacture.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced according to specifications.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, adjusting as necessary.
- Troubleshoot issues with CNC machinery and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
- Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Demonstrate a problem-solving mindset to address any production issues effectively.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety protocols.
- Willingness to perform additional tasks beyond CNC operations as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience using CAD software, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360
- Proficient in operating a 3-axis overhead router.
- Experience working with Timber and plastics.
- Competently use power tools and machinery as necessary for the role.
- Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the role.
- Possession of a forklift license highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Alphacam software is highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
