About the role
We have an opportunity for a CNC Operator/Leading Hand. This is a casual position with the potential for fast transition to full time for the right candidate.
Enjoy working in a clean workshop with the latest equipment and our friendly team. You will be working individually as well as in a team whilst maintaining the workshop flow of manufacturing.
Amongst general production tasks and maintenance, you will have the opportunity to exhibit your talents and put your mark on one of Australia's most recognised exhaust and accessory products.

Core Skills and Abilities
- Demostrated ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Proficiency in safe operation of power tools
- Proactive approach to all tasks and responsibilites
- Possess a reliable, can-do attitude
- Current Australian licence and reliable transport
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Certificate III Engineering/Fabrication
- Production and Manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of 5S/Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma systems
- Proficiency in CNC, Laser, Press Brake Machine operations
- Demonstrate an understanding of safe workplace practices and time management skills
- Ability to interpret CAD and technical drawings
- Forklift license
Tasks & responsibilities
- Cutting, cleaning and preparation of material
- Safe CNC machine operations
- Supervision of junior staff and apprentices
- Interpretation and planning of technical drawings, works orders, and customer orders
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to standards
- Preventative maintenance of equipment to manufacturer’s specifications
- Troubleshooting malfunctions
- Adhere to strict time frames
- Be a self-starter
- Possess the ability to work in a team environment and approach any challenges with a positive, can-do attitude
