AddressOur client is currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand for major projects located throughout the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide. Immediate start for the right person. You will be expected to complete all tasks to the highest standards and be capable of leading a small team and progressing jobs.
To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience working in civil construction projects including road upgrades and residential subdivisions.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Operation of various plant, Front End Loader, Excavator, Roller
• Assisting with trenching and backfills with correct compaction procedures
• Working with and alongside machines, spotting and assisting with levels
• Stormwater Pit and pipe works.
• Using hand tools, power tools and equipment (Leg rammer, vibe plate)
• Helping to direct and organise tasks for labourers
• General Labouring Duties
To be successful for this role you will need to have the following:
• Working with Children Clearance
• Recent Police check
• Any plant operator tickets and experience with Excavator, Loader, Roller, Skid steer
• Drivers Licence.
• Experience on roads, subdivisions, and other civil orientated sites
• Pipe Laying Experience
• Must possess a Construction OHS White card
• Availability to work Monday to Friday with potential for overtime and weekend work
• Time management skills.
• Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Able to manage and supervise small teams.
• Be trustworthy, hard-working and take pride in your work.
