The Position
The role involves two primary responsibilities:
Inspecting Incoming Parts for Quality: This includes conducting visual inspections, comparing parts to samples, taking measurements, performing pressure and hardness tests, and occasionally engaging in destructive testing. This crucial process ensures that only the highest quality parts are integrated into the business.
Technical Inspections of Warranty Parts: This involves examining parts returned under warranty to determine the cause of failure, which could stem from damage, lack of lubrication, or manufacturing defects. The findings are used to resolve warranty issues and provide feedback to manufacturers for future improvements.
Additional responsibilities may include new product testing, development, and providing technical support.
Candidate Requirements
Mechanical qualification or experience with agricultural equipment and machinery.
A mechanically-inclined mindset with an interest in mechanics. While a passion for agricultural equipment is highly regarded, it is not essential.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to diagnose damaged parts and determine causes of failure.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
Valid driver's license.
