About the Role:
This is a full time (80 hours per fortnight) Family leave fixed term position ending July 2025, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Part time hours or a job share appointment may be considered for the right candidate/s.

- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to support excellence in timely care
- Attend weekly Early Breast Cancer Multi-disciplinary team meeting to record attendance, outcomes and recommendations in liaison with Junior Medical staff and Breast Care Nurses.
- Conduct monthly auditing of the Breast surgical outpatient clinic planned lists, waiting list and appointments to align with required investigations and appointment sequencing
- Coordination of the patient pathway of cancer and suspected cancer treatments in a smooth, timely manner and without delay
- Administration support for the Breast Care Nurse team to support patient centred timely access to care
- Based at Moorabbin Hospital with ability to travel to other Monash Health sites, as required/rostered.

The Breast Services team at Monash Health incorporates multiple services across the patient's journey including Breast Surgery, Breast Care Clinical Nurse Consultants, Breast Oncology, and BreastScreen teams. We provide a multidisciplinary approach for patients with varied and complex pathways of care, requiring detailed coordination in providing safe, high quality and timely care.
About You:
To ensure success in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- You have a passion for patient navigation, with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
- Well organised, detail oriented, with strengths in communication, organisation, and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related field or equivalent work experience
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations
- Strong analytical skills in the use of IT systems
- Comprehensive computer knowledge and proficiency in software programs for example: MS suite, IPM, SMR, Power BI, Smart Health
