About the role
As a Mechanical Craftsman for the City of Coffs Harbour, you will collaborate with the Mechanical team in the installation, upgrading, servicing and maintenance of plant and equipment associated with the Council's water and wastewater operations.
The successful candidate for this role will possess strong problem-solving abilities and investigative skills in order to fault find, examine and report on conclusions to safely carry out projects. You will assist in the planning of day-to-day works to ensure the best use of plant, materials, time and resources, and be passionate about contributing to a successful team and working collaboratively to achieve common goals.
About you?
- Trade qualification Fitter / Machinist, or other relevant trade
- Demonstrated mechanical experience, including general metal fabrication and welding
- The expertise to safely operate various machinery and equipment
- Strong ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms and with numerous stakeholders.
What's on offer?
- Starting salary from $58K + Adverse Working Condition Allowance as applicable + superannuation
- Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week
- Options to accrue flex time and flexible working arrangements
- Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years
- Scope for performance-based salary increases.
