About the role
The position of Senior Compliance Officer is responsible for coordinating the allocation and effective use of the Building and Development Compliance resources to deliver organisation priorities, the successful candidate will provide compliance and enforcement oversight of public and private land use to benefit resident and visitors to the LGA in the most efficient and effective manner in accordance with the intent of relevant Acts, Statutes and The City's policies.
Collaborating closely with the Team Leader and broader team the successful candidate will have the expertise to deliver on key priorities while holding a customer focused approach to Building and Development compliance and associated functions.

Do you have these key attributes?
- High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication.
- Willingness to and experience supporting and delivering training and guidance for team members.
- Strong capability and aptitude to prepare and write reports, investigation material and associated legal documents.

Essentials Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent in Building, Planning, or a suitably related discipline within a regulatory context.
- Significant demonstrated experience in regulatory or development related matters.
- National Construction Induction Certificate (Whitecard)
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
