AddressA full-time role is available in our busy office in Prospect for an experienced Collections Officer.
Vestigate is a debt collection and investigation company with a wide variety of clients.
As our Collections Officer, you will be the first point of contact in the collection of debts, providing prompt and accurate information to clients and debtors alike.
This role is for someone willing to assist in the various other areas of our business when needed, including reception and the prompt location of people and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primarily a phone-based collections role to ensure timely payment of our client’s outstanding debts.
- Perform and maintain accurate data entry tasks
- Follow up on any payment arrangements and communicate verbally and via email with clients and debtors professionally.
- Liaise and refer to our legal department any matters warranting legal action
- Collaborate with and assist other team members to achieve company goals and great customer service
- Any other tasks as set by management
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year previous experience in a phone based or collections role.
- Experience in various data base searches and location officer experience an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, use initiative, and display good organisational skills to achieve high-quality outputs within agreed timeframes
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a small, friendly team environment
- Mercantile and/or Investigation licence an advantage
- Previous experience in a legal office/support role also an advantage
