Realty Assist provides an invoicing platform to the real estate sector to facilitate payment solutions for their clients. The online invoicing platform includes a pay-later option in the form of short-term loans for marketing and home improvements to vendors (owners selling their properties), along with early settlement cash releases.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Collections Officer to join our team. As a Collections Officer, you will be responsible for contacting borrowers who are in arrears and facilitating repayment arrangements to ensure timely resolution of outstanding debts. We are offering a 12-month contract with the view to move into a full-time position as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively contact borrowers in arrears to facilitate payments or negotiate repayment plans.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are made within terms and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet business targets in a high-volume settlement/collection environment.
- Provide insights to managers and peers to optimise collection strategies and processes.
- Maintain a critical and analytical approach to tasks, ensuring the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.
- Conduct data entry and follow process flows to accurately document customer interactions and payment arrangements.
- Utilise self-management and problem-solving skills to effectively address customer concerns and resolve issues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in collections is essential.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including NCCP, Privacy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and Financial Terrorism.
- Familiarity with the role and functions of major industry regulators such as ASIC, ACCC, AUSTRAC, and AFCA.
- Proficiency in debt negotiation and debt-related matters.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to team goals.
- High motivation and a strong desire to contribute to the growth of the business.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to seek help when needed.
- Completing Arrears reports to Manager on a regular basis.
- Good aptitude for learning new software and tools to enhance collection processes and efficiency.
- 12-month contract, with the view to move to full-time as the business continues to grow.
- Remuneration will be based on your experience and skillset for the role.
