The Role
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our high-performing Accounts Receivable team at Pentanet. In this role you will monitor aged receivables and perform various debt recovery activities while maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
Once trained, this role offers the opportunity to Work 282b8795cc70afb1a172bb46036329a7 on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Day-to-day duties
- Generating regular reports on outstanding debts and collections progress
- Acknowledging and resolving billing disputes
- Monitoring aged receivables and performing collections activities including, but not limited to:
- Making outbound collections calls and assisting customers who may be experiencing financial distress
- Sending overdue reminders via SMS & Email
- Sending final letters of demand, notices of default listing, etc.
- Restricting and disconnecting services for non-payment
- Processing applications for financial hardship
- Negotiating and establishing payment plan agreements and extensions
- Adhering to and enforcing internal credit management policies
- Reporting and updating defaults with a credit reporting body; and
- Liaising with external debt collectors
What we are looking for
- 1 or more years of experience in Debt Collection as an Accounts Receivable Officer, Collections Officer or similar
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach to collections, with a focus on effectively recovering debts while simultaneously providing outstanding customer service
- Previous experience in the telecommunications industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving and objection handling skills
- An end-to-end understanding of the accounts receivable process
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence
- Someone who has excellent attention to detail
- Good time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
- An autonomous self-starter with the ability to think on your feet.
- A team player, pitching in to help colleagues in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Previous experience in the telecommunications industry
- An end-to-end understanding of the accounts receivable process
