We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team located in Mascot. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making.
Main responsibilities include:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights, contributing to the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.
- Develop financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and investment proposals.
- Monitor financial performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances.
- Provide recommendations to optimise financial performance and support strategic objectives.
- Assist the CFO in preparing presentations for the executive team and board members
Successful candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
