About the role
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, the Senior Commercial Analyst is responsible for commercial analysis and key support to the Commercial team and wider business. This role utilises subject matter expertise for Group Financial Planning and Analysis, business partnering with the various Group functions, Franchise profitability forecasting, adfund management and forecasting, and more.
Key Activities Include:
Group Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Compilation of Group Financial Planning and Analysis for Budget and Forecasts across all restaurant brands.
- Effective tracking of sales performance, including analysis of outcomes vs. budget and forecasting for company-owned stores.
- Adhoc Sales analysis, forecasting and preparation of financial models as required.
Analysis of and Forecasting of Adfund:
- Month-end analysis and forecasting of Adfund for Brands. Timely and accurate reporting of Adfund as part of monthly packs.
- Preparation of the Annual Adfund Accounts for all Brands.
- Business partnering with the Heads of Marketing for analysis and forecasting.
Support to Commercial managers and stakeholders on key financial matters:
- Support on Franchisee profitability forecast modelling for the Brands; including analysis of COGS, labour and direct expenses.
- Quarterly Brand Franchisee profitability reporting.
- Pricing execution modelling and forecasting.
- Product margin modelling for Brand and New Product Development teams.
- Effective and efficient reporting/assistance in financial analysis projects for Brands and Functions.
Essential
- Three years in a Commercial finance position.
- CA, CPA or similar qualification and/or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Advanced Excel Modelling Skills and experience using Tableau.
- A passion for the numbers and getting into the details!
- Proficiency in stakeholder management and business partnering.
- Previous experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Retail or Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
